Damoh : The lights and the forest❤️

After travelling for around 200 km I finally reached Damoh. The first thing I noticed was fairy lights everywhere. Since the festival of Navratri is in its full swing ; the city of Damoh is sparkling with those sequence lights . The decor is exquisite and the person traveling through the roads gets a beautiful awe feeling. 

The Devis according to Hindu mythology are also happy it seems with the way Navratri is celebrated in Damoh . During my travel I visited various pandals and everyone was offering me sweets called Prasad which was quite delicious. 

A place with no night life gives a sense of pleasure to the night owls with all those lights. The grandeur of each pandal pushes the festival season at its zenith. It sets the background for upcoming Dusshera and Diwali. 

The fruits stall; the fasting food joints are booming and sets the tone for the market. The blinking lights are a delight to watch. The old city roads are shining with hope and joy of the festival season.

The next thing that I witnessed is off roading in Rani Durgawati tiger reserve. The peace of the forest . The small rivulets . The picturesque fort and lot of wildlife around gives the opportunity to be in the lap of nature. The fortified hathi darwaza the Rani mahal the beautiful view of the jungle from the view point is undefeated. 

I was waiting for the tiger to say me a hello but better luck next time. 

So all in all Damoh is a beautiful place to visit. But yeah the roads are something a mess.. needs to repaired immediately and promptly. A small city so unexplored and offer a historical Importance in terms of tourism . The restoration of Rani Durgawati fort would definitely attract people of the state and outside.

This would also be a tribute to the valour and determination of the highness queen Durgawati.

I also met my batchmate. He introduced me to Damoh Durbar . The happening place to hang out in Damoh. These two days in Damoh was made  definitely more intresting with your friend  . A sweet small trip of work turned into trip filled with lights ,offroading in forest  where there are no network and meeting my batchmate whom I met for the first time after interview. A wholesome experience in all .
