Me and My Radio π»π»π»π»
There are some things in life which you feel like you have a long lost connection. It could be anything your favourite toy or dress or book or some band badge anything at all. This weird connection with some absolute non living thing is hard to explain. You just have a sense of belonging and you feel like this is something that I actually connect too!!
For me it is my Radio!π» It took a long time to build this connection. But it's a strong one. When I was little I was very inquisitive about the radio my grandfather had! Even as a little child I used to change the fm station just to listen to those noises and feel happy whenever any song would play. Earlier there used to few fm stations.
" Ye hai vivid bharati" I have been listening to this statement with my grandfather every evening for many years .... Be it the news, the songs ,the radio jockey of the by gone eras .. I am not a big fan of anything but there is a sense of belonging. A acknowledgement of a connection between me and my Radio. Hell strange but true!!❄️❄️
My mother also inherited the joy of listening to the radio everyday and made it her hobby. I have a crystal clear memory of radio being an important part of our everyday life. So much so that my father gifted my mother a radio on valentine's day!! ππ ( This idea was mine but still). We have had different music systems at our home but none could take place of the radio. .
The small black radio with a long antenna! Has a place reserved at my home.
And it is not like I like some shows which are broadcasted on it. But I have listened to almost all fm stations many times for hours.
It could be aaj Ke fankar program
Naved wala murgaπ
Stories of neelesh misra π§‘π§‘
Midnight masala!π
Shaam suhaniπ
Aapki farmaish π
Healthy India ππ
The call in request programme are my favourite.. listening to people from all over India and requesting songs to play... Dedicating it to someone...
You could feel the emotions of the caller without seeing their faces and knowing absolutely nothing about them...
And the list goes on...
I think I have listened to almost everything!π
And I know the exact spot where my radio would recieve the best signal ! To play the station without any rambling noises!
From aankhiyon k jharokho se ! To
Le jae mujhe kaha hawae hawae! You can just listen to songs which are transcending generations!!!πππ♥️♥️♥️ And the best part is you get to listen to those songs which almost forgot that they existed... And suddenly all the memories associated with that song creates an instant flash back.. πΌπΌ
One things to be noticed is that Radio jockeys always sound exceptionally joyous and gala. It's like even on a monotonous day you listen to them and feel if they can be happy for no reason at all... Why can't you dudeπππππ
I remember the tag lines of almost every radio fm station and whenever we are traveling for longer routes ... I sing along whenever the taglines on fm are repeated!!π
Whenever you are home alone or travelling alone a radio even being non living never lets you feel lonely. It can work as thoughtful gift too. ✨✨
You can sometimes win free coupons or some gifts too.Not bad see!⭐⭐⭐
. A companion with a long antenna recieving signals from far away to just keep you entertained.. and even making your Chandni raatein more delightful..
A radio is definitely worth your companionship!
Altleast it is worth it for me!!π§‘π§‘
Do comment below which non living thing you connect to the most!! Will be happy to read and respond!π§‘π§‘
True that is..

The pleasure of turning the knob and hitting the right frequency, hoping for even more clarity...turning a bit more and again coming back !
ReplyDeleteThe melody in the noise of radio was better than some of the remix music we have nowadays.
We all have certain possesions that are more like a character in our lives. They somehow retain their value and importance even when they become old and unusable. People around us may suggest us to dispose it off but we just cant, coz only we hear its silence and cant hurt it.
For me it can be a non living thing like my dad's scooter who is 2 years elder to me, or a living being like a tree that is in our yard even before i was born.
Ms. Filmy i hope you have seen the movie 'Cast Away' and come across the character named 'Wilson'
I can clearly imagine the scooter that you are talking about.ππ
DeleteThe tree in your backyard is also share a unspoken connect with you ...π³π³π³π²π²
Mr Humble writer I haven't seen it yet! But will add Cast away on my watchlist! And will surely watch itππ
