We love moon only because it is far。◕‿◕。

We all love the moon 🌘.Ever wondered why ...We always compare beauty with moon. Moon always had its own charm even in bollywood movies..

Chehra hai ya chand khila hai.

Chand chupa badal me!

Chand sifarish jo krta hmari.

And the list goes on and on and on...

Sometimes it is personified as a matchmaker bringing couples together or uncle ( mama) to let children cherish..

Rituals like karwachauth involves moon and its glory!🌒

In Indian mythology too Lord Krishna looks at the shadow of moon in water and asks her mother Yashoda to get him the moon.

In reality... it is the only natural satellite of the earth. It is a monochromatic circle that you see every night( not necessary). You don't even know what is on the other side of the moon..because you only see one side of it.The moon is something that we actually know nothing about. We are still confused amongst the 4 theories of its origin whether it might be giant impact or condensation or capture or co accreation theory. It is seen only when there is a black background to it.

It's surface is full of craters and presence of water is also recently confirmed. It's like delving into the unknown..diving into deep waters..exploring dark forest..

But all the countries are spending infinite amount of funds to explore the unknown moon .It is so difficult to reach that our lander Vikram crashed in it's first landing.

Even Niel Armstrong must have thought this moon's surface is not that pretty as it is hyped in movies atleast!

Moon has its charm only because it is far.We humans have a tendency to be attracted towards something which is out of reach.Something not available .Isn't it strange..

We love people who are emotionally unavailable. Mystery involves charm. You always want to know that makes you hell lot of curious.

I am too a selenophile ( a lover of moon) but my reason for that is not that is far unknown or beyond reach. Instead it signifies human spirit where you know one side of a person and the other is hidden dark and unknown. it has its own set of dark patches...still it's a pleasure to watch.Even though it is not perfect still  it is beautiful.

Even if Bruno Mars is lamenting the loss of his  love and talking to the moon all night..8-)

And Meena Kumari asking Rajkumar

" Chlo dildar chlo Chand ke paar chlo hum hai tyar chlo oho oho! "(✷‿✷)(✷‿✷)

Moon is our common yaar.Always present. Soaking the love grief happiness beauty and a mosaic of emotions all at once. And still a mystery to everyone. That is a real "Charm"😁😁🌒🌘

    Shabaash.

Geography was a nice touch as well as the comparison with the unknown side of humans. Let's hope we get to discover both in due time.

See you in the next update moonshine

  3. Quite often it is said, the journey is more enjoyable than the destination. The curiosity to find something new, the hope to experience something beautiful is what keeps us going. The traveler within each of us says ‘lets explore’ a place and not be satisfied with what is right in front of our eyes.
The more we know about someone, the more we like them but it is the unknown that keeps us interested and spend more time with them. While we appreciate the beauty of their character, we hope that there would something more to experience tomorrow.
The moment we know it all about something or someone (even a lifetime is not enough sometimes to understand a soul), we move on with the desire to know and learn something new.
The moon plays hide and seek with the ones who appreciate her beauty…shows up time to time, not letting us forget her and then vanishes to enjoy seeing us wait – she knows the trick!
For some of us, the dark night dotted with stars is more fascinating than the blue sky with scattered white clouds. Such beauty is nature that nothing is visible when there is light, while there is so much to seek when its dark!
Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of man's desire to understand – Neil Armstrong

Let the strangers remain strangers a bit longer! :)

    2. In some languages the Sun is masculine and Moon is feminine.

In Hindu belief, Moon is considered a Male.

Dharti ka chakkar laga rha tha, dharti ko shaq hua and usse bhai bana liya (brozoned). Since then usse yahan k bache Mama (uncle) bula rahe hain :-D

    3. Fun fact--Brozoning is a problem for celestial bodies too!! B-)B-)Indeed it is a issue since times immemorial....

  4. A very beautifully written. The comparisons are mentioned beautifully. Its also about being contended with something unknown. Even if you know everything there will still be something left out.

  5. That is true indeed. We as a species are simply fascinated about the unknown.
I know for a fact that I am super curious and want to know everything!!

    1. This curosity often leads to undermining those facts which are known!🌒🌝 Cherishing both of them is everything 😁🌟
